Colts women's side kicked off its 2018/19 season campaign against Leschenault and Hay Park earlier this month.
Batting first against the Green Caps in round one, Colts posted a commendable 8/106 after 30 overs.
Colts then hit the field hoping to quickly take down Leschenault’s batting line-up.
Middle order batsman Rebecca Harrison slogged 10 runs, while teammates Robyn South and Kasey Hill knocked 13 each.
Leschenault remained composed and reached Colts’ total with three overs to go.
Round two saw Colts looking to bounce back against Hay Park.
Forced to chase the Redbacks’ total of 9/198, Colts was dismissed for 117.
In round two’s other clash, Leschenault took on Marist for the first time.
Green Caps’ batsman Erin Reynolds made 13 off 20 before being bowled by Bronwyn Walker.
Striving to reach Leschenault’s 9/101, Marist opener Sari Wootton hit 34 not out before Katie Ernst knocked 17.
The Blues caught up to the Green Caps with four overs remaining.
