A new management committee was voted in for the Bunbury Multicultural Group last week.
As part of its annual general meeting, group chairperson Shamara Williams spoke about how far the group had come since it began.
She praised the group for its ability to stay volunteer run and gain vital funding for its annual festival.
Moving forward though, Mrs Williams said the group were looking to expand to have more than just one event a year.
She also said how the group will collaborate with other organisations as well build awareness of what they can provide for people in the community.
With this it was also fitting that the group accepted its new branding. A+L Printing created the new logo which aims to represent the group and what it plans to do in the future. Gian Kurmann from A+L Printing said in his presentation to the group that the new logo resembles the ocean on which people travelled to get here, the land in which they now call home and the diverse culture the region has.
