Over the past 15 years, tribute act No Quarter has given a whole lotta love to legendary British supergroup Led Zeppelin.
All the way from Seattle, the group will bring its electrifying renditions of Led Zeppelin classics to the Prince of Wales Hotel on Thursday, December 6.
The show will mark just one of many stops on the group’s Hammer of the Gods tour, performing in WA, New South Wales, and Victoria.
“We are really excited to be coming to Bunbury. The tour has been going really well so far, we’re thrilled,” band member Byran Christiansen said.
“The fans have been screaming for more and having a blast. They love what we do when we’re performing.”
Having performed alongside Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Steppenwolf, and Jefferson Starship, No Quarter is much more than your average tribute act.
The group is well-versed in Led Zeppelin’s entire catalogue, including the soundtrack to the 1976 film The Song Remains the Same.
Its band members seamlessly embody Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham, all while delivering an authentic reproduction of Led Zeppelin’s stage show.
Christiansen, who plays Page in the show, said the tour helped fans to re-connect with the Led Zeppelin sound.
“All of us in the band are huge fans of Led Zeppelin. I get the privilege of portraying my hero on stage,” he said.
“Led Zeppelin live were way different to what they were in the studio.
“So, we get the opportunity to not only play the hits but also some of the deeper cuts from their concerts.
“A fan coming to the show gets to experience something very close to what the band was like live.”
Christiansen and his bandmates – Michael Anderson, Chad McMurray, and Nathan Carroll – were adamant Led Zeppelin’s legacy would live on forever.
“When Led Zeppelin played on stage, they would go for three to four hours...and they were just getting started,” he said.
“The songs always changed, given their improvisational style on stage. So, each song took on a life of its own.
“I think that’s why Led Zeppelin is timeless.”
