After a challenging start to the season due to starting and timing issues, November 24's competition, with some tweaking to the schedule, ran smoothly and to time.
The program focused on walks, 200-metre running events, and 400m running races.
After her record-breaking run in the 100m two weeks ago, Ruby Williams took out the record in the U13 Girls 200m event, running a time of 26.59 seconds.
Ruby has now taken out the trifecta, setting records in the U13 Girls 100m, 200m and 400m events in the space of a month.
The day concluded with Danielle Troode setting a new record of 1.30m in the U11 Girls Fosbury High Jump.
Ryder Lindberg was awarded Best Personal Best on November 24 for shaving 12.15 seconds off his previous 70m time.
He set the biggest improvement in a track event that weekend.
On November 25, three senior athletes and three parents braved the rain, wind, and cold to attend the Introduction to Coaching Training Course, hosted by Little Athletics WA and led by Danny Kevan.
The parents came from as far as Bridgetown and Dunsborough, and took away new tips and games to improve the skills of the club’s little athletes.
A big thank you went out to Brain Spice, who was the club’s featured, local sponsor that week.
