Opening batsman Kyle Davis went on the attack, slogging 61 runs off 48 balls during his 55 minutes with the bat.
Eaton bowler Cory Fitt (4/49 from 10 overs) celebrated after dismissing Davis and fellow opener Cole Sawyer (21 off 52) in quick succession.
With Marist on 2/87, batsmen Reece O’Connell (27 off 32), Mark Steele (27 off 32), and Jordan Stynes (21 off 44) were effective in adding to the Blues’ run count.
Meanwhile, Beavers Clint Hewson (3/26 from eight overs) and Jarred Edwards (2/13 from 5 overs) were in top form with the ball.
The Blues were later dismissed for a respectable 178.
Eaton’s inning started poorly, with Marist bowler Alan Utterson bowling Fitt for 11.
Fellow opener Ricky Marsh came to the rescue by knocking 37 of 35, including six fours.
Wicketkeeper Christopher Marrow then posted 30 off 67 during his 77 minutes at the crease.
Marist bowler Joshua Bradbury helped his side by collecting 3/35 from just 4.3 overs.
Eaton’s star player on the day was James Hillery, scoring 46 not out off 43.
Middle order batsmen Hewson (14 off 7) and Jake Rudd (19no off 17) helped Eaton to reach Marist’s total with 19.3 overs to go.
The Beavers did enough to pick up a win and a bonus point.
Playing in front of a home crowd, Colts picked up four points with a win over bottom-placed Dalyellup Beach.
The home side’s inning began with a few fumbles. Colts openers Lee Sorfleet (7 off 18) and Riley Miguel (11 off 26) were quickly sent back to the clubrooms.
Top order batsman Murray Goodwin was caught by Paul Jones for two.
Dalyellup bowler Noah Greenmount (3/18 from seven overs) was elated after claiming three wickets in such a short space of time.
He was then in the right place at the right time, running out Connor Ipsen for 1.
Jones caught Colts middle order batsman Joe Barningham for six moments later.
In grave danger on 5/29, Colts needed quick runs. Cruize Ciallella answered the side’s call for help by posting 40 off 73.
Fans and players cheered as Blaze Rosinski knocked 36 off 49 and Josh Topliss posted 26 off 46.
Chasing Colts’ total of 158, Dalyellup’s Mitchell Boyle slogged 22 off 47.
Jones nabbed 21 off 62, while Daniel Macmillan notched up 19 off 53 later in the day.
Dalyellup lacked the opposition’s strength and endurance, going on to post 9/115.
Colts remains second on the ladder heading into round nine.
Leschenault secured an away victory over Hay Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Green Caps were 3/13 after Grant Milbanke (3/17 from 6 overs) dismissed Kurt D’Agostino, wicketkeeper Nathan Douch, and captain Thomas Buchanan.
Middle order batsman Jarrad Quinn responded with 56 off 67, before Steven Denison claimed 68 off 53.

BCDA’s Country Cup side crumbled during its grand final showdown with WA Invitational XI at the WACA.

Marist Line-up defeats Eaton
Thanks to an impressive spell from Craig Thomas (knocking 105 runs off 113 balls), Marist’s second grade side scored a decisive win over Eaton in round eight.
Thomas and his teammates helped the Blues to reach 9/256 after 50 overs.
Under pressure from the get-go, Eaton was eventually dismissed for 126 with 10.4 overs remaining.
Harvey-Benger cruised to victory in its showdown with Dalyellup Beach.
After dismissing Dalyellup for 140, Harvey-Benger reached the opposition’s total in 31.2 overs.
Harvey-Benger batsman Hamish Minton claimed a respectable 57 not out off 64.
League leaders Donnybrook excelled against Colts at Egan Park.
Colts opener Fraser Hislop posted 53 off 114, before the side notched up 8/172.
The Dons’ were stunned following the dismissal of Philip Welsh for a duck (bowled by Cameron Hannigan).
Slogging 89 off 100 (including 12 fours), Bradman May led Donnybrook to victory.
Collie delivered a strong performance against Capel on Saturday afternoon.
Capel’s Blair Hutton hit 33 off 54, while middle order batsman Ben Tognolini claimed a half-century.
Keen to reach Capel’s 166, the coalminers celebrated after Bailey Moloney hit 43 (including four fours).
