Aiming to spread some Christmas cheer and connect with the community, Doors Wide Open will be holding their third annual family fun day on December 16 from 10am at the Pat Usher Foreshore.
The day will include more than 20 market stalls, a sausage sizzle, laser tag, food vans and face painting for the kids.
Doors Wide Open coordinator Courtney Pugh said it was about having a great day and spreading Christmas cheer.
“We’ve got a huge Doors Wide Open stall where we will be selling all of our preserves and jams – things that we have made throughout the year – dried herbs, lavender bags, craft items,” she said.
“It’s a great place to get some last minute Christmas shopping done.
“The Bunbury Suicide Support Group will be providing a kids zone with over sized games.
“We always love having a market day and bringing the community together – it gives our recoverees and families a great chance to give back to the community and to be part of it.”
Ms Pugh said the main focus of Doors Wide Open was to support family and friends of methamphetamine users on their recovery journey.
“By us holding this day we’re giving that opportunity to those people to do something worthwhile, have some fun and give back,” she said.
“These people are here with a smile on their face, they’re happy, they’re healthy and they want to spread joy.”
