Glen Iris residents will soon get the chance to voice their concerns to the City of Bunbury.
A Street Meet will be held on Saturday, December 15 to inform the city of how the suburb can be improved.
City officers will be on site to hear ideas from residents on what works well and what can be done to make it even better.
The consultation will be the first step in revitalising the suburb and will focus on street level enhancements, including playground upgrades, landscaping, beautification, pathways, space activation, safety and streetscapes.
The city would love to hear from a wide cross-section of the community.
Residents will be asked why they love living in Glen Iris, what the best thing about their street is, how to improve the look and feel of the streetscapes, and how to improve connections with their neighbours.
Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said the event presented the perfect opportunity for residents to share their views on their suburb.
“We want to provide residents with an opportunity to tell us how the city can ensure Glen Iris is a safe, friendly, and attractive place to live,” he said.
“Starting at street level, we will then progress to the bigger picture improvements.
“We will also be providing further opportunities for those community members who are unable to attend the Street Meet such as our online social engagement portal.”
Social Pinpoint will soon be live so residents can post their ideas and suggestions by logging on to bunbury.mysocialpinpoint.com.au/glen-iris-street-meet
The portal will close on December 17. Once all feedback has been collated, a report will be prepared for council in 2019
The Street Meet will take place on December 15 at Picton Primary School from 10am to 1pm.
