Students from Bunbury Bushi Kempo Ju Jistu were recently put through their paces.
Assessed by instructors James Sheehan and Neil McLeish, the club’s members underwent grading on Saturday, December 1.
Sensei Steve Landells, from Albany, assisted with the session and presided on the grading panel.
Four students were awarded orange belts, while two earned blue belts.
Calling on new members, the club held an open day event on Sunday, October 28.
Four people signed up after participating in the session.
The dojo trains in a self-defence system first developed in the United Kingdom by Dave and Chris Hand.
The system has been taught in Australia since 1992.
