Australian Made will soon pay homage to some of the nation’s greatest rock groups.
The band will visit the Burlington Hotel for a spectacular night of entertainment on Friday, December 21.
Playing to Aussie rock lovers from across the South West, the group will deliver amazing renditions of INXS and The Angels’ biggest hits.
Assuming the handle of ‘Vulture Street’, the band will then perform many of Powderfinger’s best tracks, including songs from mainstream breakthrough Double Allergic and Footprints – The Best of Powderfinger.
The group will later return to the stage for a 60-minute set featuring tracks from AC/DC, Paul Kelly, Men at Work, Cold Chisel, The Choir Boys, The Hoodoo Gurus, and Hunters and Collectors.
Masters of live music, the band’s members have over 50 years of collective performance experience between them.
Frontman and manager Jeremy Harris said they wanted to cap off the year in style with one big blowout.
“We’re looking forward to coming back and playing again for the Bunbury fans, our last show at the Burlington Hotel was sold out,” he said.
“People will get a full hour concert featuring Powderfinger, an hour with The Angels, and an hour with INXS.
“We’ll be playing the best songs from that era, songs a lot of people grew up with.
“If you’re not in that age group, then you’ll be treated to something that’s a bit of a blast from the past.
“Getting out into the regional centres gives us the opportunity to connect with a lot more people.”
Harris and his bandmates have set out to create the ultimate tribute act, honouring “three iconic pillars” of Aussie rock.
“It’s very easy picking an iconic band like The Angels because Doc Neeson and the group had a very unique pub-rock sound,” Harris said.
“They we’re also one of the pioneers of the pub-rock scene back in the 1970s and 80s.
“INXS is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, bands to come out of Australia over the past 20/30 years.
“Powderfinger was very much an influential group in the 90s. They stepped in to the fill the breach after those other bands started to drop off.
“We thought we’d go a bit left-of-centre by putting Powderfinger on the list, and it seems to be working really well for us.”
