Bunbury’s sporting highlights in 2018 | Gallery

Bunbury’s athletes and clubs experienced their fair share of highs and lows in 2018. 

Some celebrated glorious victories, while others commiserated over painful defeats. 

The South West Football League had a remarkable year, with Bunbury, Donnybrook, and Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault picking up premiership titles. 

Busselton dominated South West netball, and many of the region’s best basketballers played for the Slammers.

A thrilling penalty shootout saw Bunbury United’s men’s premier side clinch the South West Cup. 

With the addition of its women’s competition, Bunbury’s cricket scene continues to grow. 

Some athletes reached the highest of highs. Boomer Cameron Gliddon and Kookaburra Jake Harvie won gold at this year’s Commonwealth Games. 

Bunbury’s sporting stars were friendly, confident, and passionate every step of the way.
