Speeding madly towards 60, Leonie Clarke, star of Gran In A Van, hits the accelerator to share her wild comedic adventure about living in a campervan.
Talking about portaloo mishaps, sinister snakes, and her irrational fear of the dark, she will bring her van-full of comical stories to The Rose Hotel, Bunbury on Friday, February 8.
Having only done stand-up for two years, the Kwinana grandma of four has always loved making others laugh with her quick wit and crazy views on life.
“People should come along to my show because it’s fun, you’ll have a laugh and see things from the point of view of a crazy older person,” she said.
Along with having a laugh, she also wants to raise awareness of an incurable brain disorder that she contracted a few years back known as Chiari Malformation.
“I want to show people that you’re never too old to try new things,” she said.
It was always on her bucket list to do stand-up and, remarkably, here she is. She is brightening up the lives of Australians as she plans to “go out with a laugh.”
