Round 10 of the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series saw Jason Kendrick claim his third consecutive feature race win.
On a tough track, Kendrick won the 30-lap race from Taylor Milling and Kye Scroop.
Kendrick shot to the lead in the series after banking double points, courtesy of playing his Joker card.
Heading into round 10 on Saturday night, Kendrick was third on points behind LJM Racing duo Jamie and Brad Maiolo, who played their Jokers earlier in the season.
Contact was made between the Maiolos’ cars while they were battling for second, putting them both out of the race.
The race only lasted the first corner before there was carnage – seeing American Harli White, Kaiden Manders, Tom Payet and Andrew Priolo out.
Kendrick, who started mid pack, took the lead on lap 15 and was in control for the run to the checkers.
Milling, who started from seventh, likened himself to Australian speedskating Olympic champion Steven Bradbury by taking second.
Scroop took third after starting from the third row, claiming his second podium of the season.
Darren Mewett finished fourth after dropping as low as seventh at one stage.
AJ Nash, in his first race back after a massive crash on Boxing Day, took fifth.
Kendrick leads the point standings after 10 rounds with 1724, ahead of Jamie and Brad Maiolo on 1714 and 1696 respectively.
Round 11 will hit the Bunbury Speedway this Saturday night.
In the World Series Sprintcar Championship, Bunbury-based team Krikke Motorsport and driver Kerry Madsen placed third in round six’s feature race.
The result saw the four-time Australian champion reach second on points.
Madsen then placed fourth in round seven’s feature race, before coming fifth in the 10th annual Scott Darley Challenge.
Round eight will take place in Albany on February 16.
