Several Bunbury beaches have been closed this morning following reported shark sighting’s off Buffalo Beach and Koombana Bay
The City of Bunbury issued an alert to the public.
WA Surf Lifesaving also issued an alert after receiving a report of a 4 metre white shark sighted just after 8am at Koombana Bay, 1.8km offshore, feeding aggressively.
Swimmers and beachgoers are asked to be aware that the following beaches have been closed due to the shark sighting’s
- Koombana Bay
- Turkey Point
- The Cut
- Wyalup Rocky Point
- Back Beach to the Surf Club
Swimmers are cautioned to enter the water at their own risk and at this stage beaches will be closed until midday.
