Two of Melbourne’s best folk-rock musicians, twins Jack and Pat Pierce, are taking their new show on the road.
Performing as The Pierce Brothers, the pair will touch down in Bunbury for one show at the Prince of Wales Hotel on Saturday, March 9.
Hitting regional centres across the country, Jack and Pat are looking forward to their upcoming road trip.
Jack promised a thrilling show guaranteed to please Bunbury fans/music lovers.
“We played in Bunbury for the first time alongside the Saltwater Giants, that was back in 2014/2015,” he said.
“We are looking forward to getting back there. We’ve been to Margaret River and Fremantle a bunch, but we keep missing out on Bunbury.”
Part of the pair’s Atlas Shoulders tour, the show will feature songs from their first full-length album released in October last year.
“The album took such a long time because we were putting it together between each tour,” Jack said.
“We wrote a bunch of songs prior to the tours. Then, while touring, we wrote all of these new songs.
“There was a lot of moving around and shuffling, but I’m pretty happy with what we got in the end.”
Jack and Pat started out as buskers, before bringing their musical stylings to the stage.
Achieving success on the Melbourne touring circuit, the multi-instrumentalists went on to sell over 50,000 EPs independently.
Between their first few live shows and today, the pair have staged mega-successful national and international tours.
After providing support for Tash Sultana, they then played headline tours of Europe and America.
“The way we perform is directly linked to our old busking days, in that you quickly need to get a performance going to get people dancing,” he said.
“That has dictated the style in which we play, and also how we tour.
“We try and get people dancing as much as possible.”
Pleased with their achievements, Jack said he was confident the best was yet to come.
