Dr Nicolas King and Dr Jonathan King, owners of King Chiropractic, incorporate their down-to-earth philosophies and experience for a superior, patient focused result.

Along with their broad experience, the brothers pride themselves on providing compassion, and professionalism in their holistic approach to assessing and treating pain.

Every treatment includes assessment, skilled chiropractic manipulation, and numerous muscle therapies such as dry needling, myofascial release technique, trigger point therapy, active release technique, and post isometric relaxation.

Patients then receive rehabilitative advice to assist in healing and improve their quality of life.

“I believe in treating patients how I want to be treated,” Jonathan said.

“Everybody gets a focused rub and stretch here, and a careful applied adjustment where they need it.

“I have suffered a lot of low back and mid back pain and know exactly what it is like.

“I do what works which includes but is not limited to; dry needling, massage, active release therapies and skilled chiropractic manipulation. It’s not all crack and crunch in here,” he said.

Nicholas added: “The ability to treat clients how we like to be treated as chiropractors led Jonathan and I to decide, whilst on a road trip through America, to set up our own chiropractic business in Bunbury.”

In safe hands

Growing up in Kojonup sons of the local GP, both Jonathan and Nicolas graduated from Murdoch University.

The care they espouse now as practicing chiropractors has been perfected during years of treating a wide-range of patients across rural Australia and in some underprivileged parts of the world.

In 2010 Jonathan went to India as part of the “Hands on India” annual chiropractic trip, to provide free chiropractic care to many disadvantaged people including overworked tea workers.

“The experience was deeply confronting and gave strong testament to how important good health is in our lives,” Jonathan said.

He has also worked as a chiropractor in New Zealand in Invercargill, Cromwell as well as Queenstown. Here he cared for the Queenstown Stampede Ice Hockey team as well as Wakatipu Rugby League team and the Australasian NZ PGA tournament.

In the Australian bush, he practiced in the Pilbara including Tom Price and Paraburdoo, and has currently worked in Bunbury for six years.

While Nicolas returned to Kojonup and ran his own chiropractic business for a time, he has also participated in medical aid work in remote Sumatra Indonesia and, while still studying, travelled to Kununurra to help the local Aboriginal community. He has also worked as a locum chiropractor throughout WA from as far north as Port Hedland and as far south as Denmark.

“Clinically I believe in identifying a person’s problem and getting them better as soon as possible,” Nicolas said.

“I find the most effective way to achieve this is to treat the problem in a holistic manner correcting posture and poor movement patterns as well as treating the muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints.

“My treatment style is manual and ‘hands on’. I use a variety of muscle therapy techniques and mobilisation therapies married with chiropractic manipulative therapy.”

The place to be

Both men practice what they preach and lead healthy active lives which include outside pursuits such as stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, diving, fishing and camping.

“Bunbury is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors lifestyle,” Jonathan said.

“It’s so conducive to a happy healthy and active lifestyle.

“We love the friendly, open and generous people of Bunbury who have small town community values whilst enjoying the amenities of living in a city.”
