A lawn mower, lounge suites, fridges and freezers, beds and artwork will be up for grabs at the Dardanup Lions Club’s Monster Auction on March 30 at Wells Recreational Oval from 11am.
It’s the second the club has hosted the auction with 50 per cent of proceeds being donated to the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
Dardanup Lions Club member Paul Rafferty said people could donate items or share in the sale price.
“It’s a huge event where we get homeowners and local businesses to drop off household goods, camping, gardening and farm machinery,” he said.
“We need a 15 per cent minimum from it to generate funds but we’ve had people donate materials, we’ve had other who said they’ll go 50-50.
“It’s a great event, we’ll have an electrician on hand if anyone wants to bring in white goods to test tag it, we’ll have the famous Lions Club sausage sizzle.”
Community members are asked to drop items off on the Friday before but can ring and register beforehand.
