Rock group The Boogie Men will be hitting the stage over the Labour Day long weekend.
Joined by Whiskey Dogs, The Boogie Men will rock out at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Bunbury on Saturday, March 2.
Bunbury musicians Damon Buckley (drummer and vocalist), Leon Buswell (bassist) and Craig Best (guitarist and vocalist) met at a birthday party, before forming the band.
Drawing from influences Canned Heat, AC/DC, Doctor Feelgood, and Motorhead, they combined “grungy guitars and pile-driving drums” to create an entertaining rock ensemble.
Forming an authentic 1950s rock trio, Whiskey Dogs’ band members embody the sound and look of the golden era.
The group features Dean Napoli on the double bass, Johnny Westwood rocking the baritone saxophone, and Kris Buckle on the electric guitar, vocals, and drums.
Wooly Mammoth will perform at the Prince of Wales on Friday, March 8, in celebration of the group’s new single, Knew You at All.
