A Bunbury woman with 23 charges has been given strict bail conditions.
Rhiannon Julie Rolfes faced Bunbury Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 7, via video link from Melaleuca.
Ms Rolfes has received five counts of gaining benefits via fraud, four of stealing, two of receiving stolen property, two of breaching bail (failing to appear in court), two of possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis), two of possessing drug paraphernalia, and two of trespassing.
She was also charged with breaching bail, common assault in circumstances of aggravation/racial aggravation, damaging property, and possessing stolen/unlawfully obtained property.
Ms Rolfes admitted to breaching bail, after failing to appear in court in December last year.
She pleaded not guilty to common assault, regarding an incident in Carey Park on July 13, 2018.
Ms Rolfes’ defence counsel, Jen de Klerk, told the court her client was “on the right path”, and had been avoiding illicit substances.
Ms de Klerk said Ms Rolfes would like to spend more time with her daughter in the future.
Sgt. Rep said the accused had a history of failing to appear in court.
Ordering pre-sentence and psychological reports, Magistrate David MacLean remanded all of Ms Rolfes’ matters to Friday, March 29.
Mr MacLean urged Ms Rolfes to refrain from committing further offences.
“You must maintain your commitment to appear in court,” he said. “It’s important for you to follow your bail.”
As per Ms Rolfes’ bail conditions, she must reside at her friend’s address in Holywell Street, South Bunbury.
She will also be required to report to Bunbury Police Station three times per week.
