Community members will descend upon Sanctuary Golf Resort later this week to raise funds for a life-saving organisation.
Thirty-one teams will hit the green for Camp Quality Golf Day on Friday, February 15.
The event will see players competing in a four-person ambrose format, while embodying the ‘beach party’ theme.
Later in the day, organisers will host a dinner and an auction at the resort.
Over the past 14 years, Camp Quality Golf Day has raised over $430,000 in support of the charity.
Across Australia, Camp Quality helps children and families going through cancer.
Providing therapy and education for those suffering from the disease, the charity believes that “laughter is the best medicine”.
The organisation also conducts family assistance and recreation initiatives to create healthy, fun environments for children with cancer, aged 0 to 13.
In hospital, the group’s child life therapists, family liaison coordinators, and puppets are on-hand to brighten up each child’s day.
