Marist will host the 2018/19 Bunbury and Districts Cricket Association Women’s grand final, following their five-wicket win over Hay Park.
Both teams were undefeated prior to their much-anticipated clash in round five.
With a home ground advantage, Hay Park began its inning with plenty of enthusiasm.
Top order batswoman Katrina Jones notched up a respectable 29 runs off 28 balls including four fours, while Josie Jefferies made 18 off 29.
After Karen Robinson was dismissed for two, Fiona Florance slogged 14 off 24 (including two fours).
Hay Park posted 7/105 from its 30 overs.
Marist player, and 2019 Australian Country Championships – Western Australia star, Bronwyn Walker picked up 3/12 from four overs.
Blues’ opener Katie Ernst hit seven, before fellow opener Siobhan Darlow (5) was bowled by Redback Tricia Ward (3/13 from three).
Ally Clarke-Dehring knocked 18, Walker continued her form with 20 not out, and Aimee Couanon top scored for the Blues with 23.
Assisted by lower order batswomen Sara Naylor (14) and Jessica Barton (11no), Marist reached Hay Park’s total with six overs to spare.
The Blues went on to celebrate their 5/133 total.
Eaton notched up its second win of the season with victory over Leschenault.
Batting first at the Leschenault Cricket Club, Eaton posted a respectable 4/139.
Chasing the visitors’ total, the Green Caps made 8/120 from 30 overs.
