The Main Roads Bunbury Outer Ring Road team will be hosting two community information sessions later this month.
The sessions will provide community members with updates on the project and an opportunity to ask the team questions in an informal setting.
The first session will be held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Monday, February 25, from 4pm and the second session will be at the Leschenault Leisure Centre on Tuesday, February 26 from 4pm.
Detailed information about the Ultimate Planning Concept Design for the northern and central sections will also be available for viewing.
Bunbury Outer Ring Road project director Dominic Boyle said there was now a lot more detail to share for the central and northern sections and said they hoped to get good attendance at the sessions.
"We ran similiar sessions in October, there will be various stations with different themes - traffic, design, landscaping, environment," he said.
"In the north we've now defined an alignment and we're using that boundary as the basis of our environmental referral to the EPA and we're looking to refer that in early March.
"It's for the EPA to determine the level of environmental assessment and what process we have to go through, there's a consultation process as part of that which the EPA run and stakeholders will have the opportunity to comment on what they feel should be the level of assessment."
In regards to the southern section, two corridors were identified and environmental investigations were undertaken last year.
"Surveys are now largely complete and we're working through the reports at the moment to compare the environmental values of the existing corridor with the potential alternative and we're looking to make a recommendation as to which corridor we adopt by the end of the first quarter," Mr Boyle said.
