South West footballers Philipa Seth and Katie-Jayne Grieve are making waves for the Fremantle Dockers in this year’s AFL Women’s competition.
Fremantle kicked off its campaign with a 9.5.59 to 8.7.55 win over Melbourne at Casey Fields VFL Oval.
In her first ever AFL W game, Seth notched up five kicks, four handballs, and nine disposals.
Playing her debut match for Fremantle, Grieve picked up five kicks and seven disposals.
The Dockers had a home ground advantage in round two, defeating the Brisbane Lions 10.7.67 to 6.4.40 at Fremantle Oval.
Seth made eight disposals around the ground, while Grieve notched up two.
Fremantle made it three from three with a 7.9.51 to 2.6.18 win at home over Collingwood.
Grieve booted one goal, while Seth made four kicks and nine disposals.
The Dockers will contend with Adelaide at Marrara Oval in round four this Saturday.
