Bunbury Water Polo's men's and women's teams have returned home following a successful 2019 Western Australian Country Championship campaign.
The men's side claimed decisive wins over Port Hedland (10 to 9), Peel (7 to 1), Geraldton (6 to 4), and host club Busselton (6 to 5).
After thrashing Karratha Two by 11 goals (12 to 1), Bunbury defeated Karratha One, 7 to 3.
Bunbury then shot 10 goals to six against Geraldton in the grand final.
Josh Zekulich was named grand final MVP and the tournament's highest goal scorer, with 24.
Bunbury's women's team narrowly defeated Peel (8 to 7), before scoring an 11 to 10 win over Karratha.
After losing to Geraldton (11 to 13), Bunbury fell to Karratha, 9 to 19, in the decider.
Bunbury's Heather Scott and Geraldton's Ellie Pead were awarded Tournament Fairest and Best.
Bunbury Water Polo president/player Alice Luscombe, Kylie English, Heather Scott, Jarrod English, Jack Deschamp, Jayden Horne, and Josh Zekulich were voted into the All-Stars teams.
Luscombe congratulated Bunbury Water Polo for exceeding all expectations.
"It speaks volumes for our current members, and our ability to accept and use players from all walks of life," she said.
"I think it's exciting. It shows that even though we're a small club, we're still a really strong one."
