Senior citizens from across the South West recently experienced the fun and excitement of this year's LiveLighter Aged Care Games.
Held on Thursday, April 11 at the South West Sports Centre, the 12th annual games saw participants compete in four events - seated hockey, pass ball, bean bag toss, and skittles.
With 12 groups competing in this year's games, seniors, carers, and supporters all proudly dressed in 'team colours'.
South Regional TAFE students provided assistance to athletes and staff members on the day.
The event was organised by the Seniors Recreation Council of Western Australia, in association with LiveLighter and Healthway.
Seniors Recreation Council - Bunbury branch president Barbara Fleay thanked all those involved for their support.
"It's great. The competitors all love coming together and meeting up with people they haven't seen for 12 months," she said.
"I love seeing them all getting into it, they're all very competitive. There's plenty of friendship and camaraderie, as well."
