.A series of free counseling sessions will be run in Busselton and Bunbury to help anyone in the community dealing with grief.
The sessions will be run in conjunction with William Barrett and Sons facilitator Dee Melbourne and Ceremonies and Counselling counsellor Laurissa Knowles.
Over five weeks, each session will focus on a different form of grief including sudden or unexpected death, death of a child pre-term or stillborn, death of a child, suicide and terminal illness.
Ms Knowles said the sessions had been run previously and they had received great feedback from participants who attended.
"It is about us opening our doors to the community and after care to follow up on people's grief," she said.
Working as a grief counsellor and with cancer patients, Ms Knowles thought it would be comforting for people to meet other people who had similar experiences.
"It can be really healing to not feel so alone," she said.
The Busselton sessions start on Tuesday, April 30 will be for all people in the community who have been touched by grief, and in Bunbury on Wednesday, May 1.
Ms Knowles said it was not a support group so there was no obligation to attend all the time, and the person who you lost may have been six months ago or 16 years ago.
"There is not a time frame with grief," she said.
"People can feel comfortable to tell as much of their story as they wish and to also sit and think about the person who they lost and honour their sadness, or take a moment and pause in our really busy world."
William Barrett and Sons facilitator Dee Melbourne said it would bring people together who were in the same boat and the comfort that comes with.
"Even without saying any words," she said.
