Relay for Life Bunbury is congratulating its longest participating team - Happy Lappers.
Originally starting out as Team Heather in 2003, Happy Lappers - led by Trudi Heather and her daughters, Rebecca and Louise - is now into its 16th Relay for Life fundraising campaign.
The team will hold its next fundraiser - a combined garage sale - at Dot's Place from 7.30am to 2.30pm on Saturday, May 11, with all proceeds going to Cancer Council WA/Relay for Life.
Happy Lapper's fundraising efforts involve quiz nights, garage sales, and individual team member projects (footy tipping, raffle stalls etc.).
The team held its most recent fundraising event at the Harvey Harvest Festival - conducting surveys, manning the bouncy castle, and holding a toy raffle.
Happy Lappers ensures its fundraising events are enjoyable for all. Like the other relay teams, the team raises funds for cancer research, support, and education.
Relay for Life 2019 will see teams run/walk for 24 hours (from 11am to 11am), from Saturday, November 2 to Sunday, November 3, at Payne Park.
