Hundreds gathered at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell for the official wreath laying and service after watching the annual parade.
This year's service honoured special guest Richard Norman Eaton, of the 2nd/11th Battalion.
Mr Eaton served in North Africa, Greece, and Crete, before being wounded and taken prisoner in 1941.
He was discharged in 1945, after being imprisoned in Camp Stalag 8b, Poland for 3 1/2 years. Mr Eaton then made his return to Western Australia.
"The events will commemorate those who served and gave their lives for our country and our freedoms," Bunbury RSL president John Gelmi said.
"We also remember the returning diggers who are now coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan.
"The services cover all conflicts that servicemen and women from Australia have been involved in."
