Bunbury Hockey Stadium played host to an enthralling clash between the South West Strikers and Southern River on Sunday, May 5.
Undeterred by the overcast conditions, both teams had their eyes on the prize.
The Round Six showdown saw the Strikers dominate play and set up several opportunities on goal.
Southern River went on to convert two chances in the first half and one more in the second.
After their 3-0 win, Southern River moved to the top of the 2019 Promotion One - Women's leaderboard, above Fremantle, YMCC, and the Strikers.
The Strikers will return to Bunbury for their clash with YMCC in Round Seven. Teams will hit the turf on Saturday, May 11 at 1pm.
Round Five of the South West Hockey League - Women's competition began with Marist claiming a 2-1 win over Robins.
Boyanup and Towns/South tied 1-1, after Associates thumped Capel 6-0.
Marist's men's side breezed past Associates 4-0 in Round Two, while Boyanup defeated Exies 2-0 and Wests overcame Towns/South 4-1.
