The Stirling Streets Arts Centre's Creative Textiles group is holding a Charity Sewing Day on Saturday, June 22 to give back to the community.
The group is planning to sew more than 50 dresses for the Little Dresses for Africa project and to create Breast Care Cushions for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery.
Creative Textiles group coordinator Judith Morrisey said they were hoping for members of the public to come along on the day to help.
"We've got to cut and sew and then package the dresses up to get them over to Africa," she said.
"We've done some charity work before and we just like doing things that will help other people.
"It makes us feel good and it makes a difference."
Ms Morrisey said those wanting to help on the day didn't need sewing skills to help out.
The Zonta Club of Bunbury have donated material for the Breast Care Cushions and Lorraine Lea Linen consultant Vickie Cain recently donated pillow cases to make the dresses.
