Busselton's Ice Queen Kylie Hutt is now the state title holder in two weight divisions after she defeated Cyla Maguire in the women's middle weight class last month.
Hutt said the match was fun and a great experience, and that it took a lot of hard work to take the win.
"It was not any tougher than what we were expecting as we trained really hard for my opponent, the height difference and extra weight," she said.
"My coaches showed me a few combos, they worked really well and I dominated all five rounds.
"We went the distance and Maguire was one tough opponent."
It was the first time Hutt competed in the middle class division having previously fought as a welterweight.
"I stepped up the weight class and have been sitting at this weight for quite a while now, I did not have to weight cut before the fight which was really good, I felt really energised," she said.
"There was a six kilogram difference between the weight I would normally fight at."
Hutt is already working towards her next goals to represent Australia in the ring and get a shot at a world title belt along with a shot at her second Australian title.
She is currently a two-time welterweight state title belt holder, the WA state middle weight title belt holder and an Australian National Boxing Federation Australian welterweight title belt holder.
"If I get another Australian title fight I will hold two weight categories in Australia, which is my ultimate goal," she said.
"I would like to give a big shout out to all my supporters, my coaches John Hinsey and Crandon Keddie at Denning Boxing and Fitness Gym they have been so supportive and stood by my side 1000 per cent.
"I would also like to send a shout out to Amalfi Resort for their sponsorship and support, as well as my mum, I could not have done it without her."
