The Rotary Club of Collie held their annual Apprentice of the Year Awards at the Collie Ridge on Thursday, June 20.
The annual awards aim to highlight outstanding apprentices who reside in the Shire of Collie, as well as the their employers.
First year Synergy electrical apprentice Zach Diment took out the Best First Year Apprentice award.
Third year electrical/instrument fitter Bianca Amos Benton won the Third Year award.
The Apprentice and Traineeship Company chief executive officer Stan Liaros spoke at the event on the importance of encouraging more school leavers into apprenticeships.
Minister for Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering; Sport and Recreation Mick Murray spoke at the event about his fond memories of being an apprentice and the solid start it gave him in life.
The Rotary Club of Collie thanked their sponsors for their continued support of the event.
