Firefighters pull horse from backyard pool at Beresfield

A TEAM of resourceful firefighters have used their fire hoses to pull a horse from a backyard swimming pool at Beresfield.

Tarro's Fire and Rescue NSW crew were called to assist in the unusual rescue on Saturday afternoon.

"An interesting call for Tarro this afternoon with a horse stuck in a pool in Beresfield," the crew wrote on Facebook.

"Crews used two 70mm hoses one around the girth and one around the hind quarters to support and encourage the horse out of the pool."
