This weekend, community groups from across the region will combine forces for a special event.
The Canto Belles and Silvertones will host a variety concert at St Augustine's Uniting Church, at 1.30pm on Sunday, August 18.
Both groups will be joined by serenading singers and individual artists.
The event will include an afternoon tea, poetry readings, choral works, sing-a-longs, and renditions of popular songs.
Tickets are $15 each at the door.
Musical director Margaret Duce is encouraging residents to come along, enjoy the day, and contribute to a worthy cause.
The choirs will use the proceeds to purchase swags.
The groups will donate the swags to the In-Town Lunch Centre, who will then distribute them to homeless people within the South-West.
In-Town Lunch Centre chairman David Bailey applauded the groups for their efforts.
"It's a really wonderful initiative," he said.
"This is a prime example of community members coming together to assist those less fortunate."
