Competitors from all over the state recently visited Bunbury for two days of exciting badminton action.
The Bunbury and Districts Badminton Association pulled out all the stops for this year's Bunbury Open, held on August 17 and 18.
On Saturday, more than 100 highly-skilled badminton players - including 25 Bunbury club members - went head-to-head.
The players were all impressed by the club's state-of-the-art premises and international-grade courts.
Youngsters from across WA took part in the Junior competition at the South West Sports Centre.
Players and spectators then came together for the finals on Sunday afternoon.
"It's great to see so many people playing badminton," Bunbury and Districts Badminton Association president Nigel Smith said.
"The players and spectators all got to see it being played at a high level."
Funds raised from the tournament will go towards ongoing costs and general up-keep.
"We are looking to re-invigorate the community's interest in badminton," Mr Smith said.
"We really enjoy being part of the community. The club is always looking for new players."
The Bunbury and Districts Badminton Association lauded the players, spectators, volunteers, and sponsors for their efforts.
