Bunbury resident and Dalyellup College student Sam Gittos, 14, has taken his love of music to the next level.
Sam first began experimenting with hip-hop, indie, pop, and rock sounds at an early age.
"When I was about eight, I started singing and playing the guitar. I then moved on to hip-hop," he said.
"It's what I really like doing."
Under the name 'thirteenthirteen', the 14-year-old writes, produces, and engineers almost all of his songs at home.
Three of his tracks - Attached, Forever, and Feeling - were featured on Triple J Unearthed, late last month.
"Having my tracks on Triple J felt pretty cool," he said.
"I like getting comments from people who like my songs. It feels great to receive that kind of support.
"I've received several messages from artists in other countries looking to collaborate."
Sam is planning to create a host of new tracks over the next few years.
Sam's father Darren Gittos said his family and the school were extremely proud of Sam's achievements.
