Frenchman Yan Buriet is missing in Kakadu National Park, after arriving in the area on August 16.
A hiker missing in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory has been identified as Frenchman Yann Buriet.
The 31-year-old is missing in the Gunlom Falls region after arriving in the area on August 16.
His Mitsubishi van was found in the car park at the falls.
Police said ground and air searches would continue until at least Wednesday night.
They also called on anyone who may have seen Mr Buriet in the area to come forward.
The French consulate has been advised and is helping to contact family members.
