South West organisations with job-creating, economy-growing projects are encouraged to take advantage of the support available through the State Government's Regional Economic Development Grants program.
The South West Development Commission (SWDC) is accepting applications for funding through the second round of the initiative until Friday September 13, 2019.
Up to $250,000 is available for individual projects that promote sustainable jobs, partnerships, productivity, skills and capability, as well as stimulate new investment in industry diversification.
Registered businesses, not-for-profit organisations, training institutions, industry associations and local governments are all encouraged to apply for the project grants.
SWDC acting chief executive officer Rebecca Ball said the RED Grants provided a chance for the Commission to work with business and the community to look for opportunities to capitalise on growth and expansion potential with the funding support available.
"If you have a project that will benefit the local economy and drive sustainable jobs growth, we encourage you to get in contact with the team at the Commission to see if your project is eligible for consideration under the RED Grants program," Ms Ball said.
The Western Australian State Government has committed $28.8 million over five years (2018-19 to 2022-23) towards the RED Grants program for projects that will directly benefit regional communities.
The current round of applications closes Friday September 13.
