Regional audiences will soon get the chance to experience the South West Philharmonic Orchestra live in concert.
The orchestra will return to the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Saturday, September 14 to perform their family-friendly show - Family Proms: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
The concert was designed to introduce children to classical music and to bring the whole family together.
The show will see them perform classics from such artists as The Beatles, John Williams, and Jerry Goldsmith.
Concession tickets for this weekend's concert are now available, while attendance is free for people under 16.
We are on a mission to bring the best of classical music to the widest possible audience.
- David Pye, South West Philharmonic Orchestra conductor
The foyer will be opened one hour prior to the performance so that families can enjoy some food and drink, arts and crafts activities, and a photo booth.
South West Philharmonic Orchestra conductor David Pye said the show had something for everyone.
"We are on a mission to bring the best of classical music to the widest possible audience," he said.
"The South West Philharmonic Orchestra is full of outstanding musicians.
"We are delighted to partner with BREC again this year to offer families a full orchestral experience in a fun, relaxed environment."
BREC executive director Fiona de Garis said they aimed to provide a range of options to suit all ages.
"We are passionate about making cultural experiences more accessible for all community members," she said.
"With the generous support of our sponsors including the City of Bunbury, South 32, and Lotterywest, we are able to subsidise our ticket prices."
Following Family Proms: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, BREC will host Roald Dahl's - The Twits, directed by Michael Barlow, on September 25 and 26.
