Eaton Fair Shopping Centre has become home to the longest trading Coles in Western Australia after the supermarket chain extended shopping times by an additional two hours.
Eaton Fair, which is home to the only 24/7 Kmart in WA already has Woolworths and Coles trading seven days a week, however Coles has joined the trend for deregulated trading by extending trade further. Centre Manager Michael Prosser said the supermarket giant would now be open until 11pm every day of the week.
"Shift workers and parents with young kids are the main customers we see at Kmart throughout the late-night hours", Mr Prosser said.
"Coles has seen the opportunity to provide these same customers with more flexible shopping hours to better suit their needs. I think most people have had a time where they've needed something from the supermarket only to have missed out because it's closed, and this will help that not happen in future."
Coles started trading 7am until 11pm on Monday November 4.
