South-West soccer fans will soon head to Bunbury to catch some of Australia's best players in action.
As part of the 2019/2020 Westfield W-League competition, Perth Glory will face off against the Western Sydney Wanderers at WML Stadium on Saturday, February 29.
During their visit to Bunbury, the teams will run coaching clinics with a handful of aspiring youngsters.
In January 2018, global megastar Sam Kerr claimed a hat-trick in the Glory's 4-4 draw with Canberra United at Hay Park.
Glory defender Natasha Rigby said she was looking forward to returning to the South-West.
"It's a great opportunity to play in front of a strong crowd and give back to the community," she said.
Head coach Bobby Despotovski said they were all excited to play their final game of the season in Bunbury.
"We have got a plan, and we're going to stick to it for the remainder of the season," he said.
"We're really looking forward to coming down and spending a few days in Bunbury and the South-West."
Football West women's and girl's development officer Annie Leyland said the organisation sought to provide exciting opportunities in regional areas.
City of Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan has also expressed his support for the upcoming match.
"Very recently, Bunbury has held some terrific state and national events," he said.
"Once again, the city is delighted to assist in bringing the Glory to Bunbury. We have got a fantastic field, and the new floodlights have greatly benefited the area.
"We are looking forward to hosting the team and their support crew. We're also looking forward to what should be a great game."
Bunbury MLA Don Punch is anticipating a thrilling clash between two highly skilled teams.
"This highlights what can happen when state governments and local governments work together effectively," Mr Punch said.
"The Glory will be playing a fantastic game in a fantastic city...this will put Bunbury firmly on the map."
Earlier this year, Bunbury played host to the Australian Men's Masters Hockey Championships, the Cycling Australia Junior Road National Championships, and the Australian Darts Legends National Championships.
