Almost 250 women of all ages rose bright and early before gathering at the South West Sports Centre to take on the 14th annual Nina's Women's Triathlon.
The event was held on Sunday morning, November 10, and featured two divisions, including the 12 kilometre Gold Distance and the 18 kilometre Diamond course.
Participants began in the pool swimming laps before battling the wind on their bikes and tackling the running track.
Competitor Olivia Kavanagh managed to complete the gold course in an impressive time of just 37 minutes and 8 seconds, with Maren Umbach close behind on 38 minutes and 13 seconds.
Eve O'Connor took out third place for the course, finishing with a time of 40 minutes and 42 seconds.
In the diamond course, Amanda Smith managed to complete the 18 kilometre triathlon in just 50 minutes and 38 seconds, followed by Vanessa Wood with a time of 51 minutes and 10 seconds.
Danielle Nordeck was close behind, crossing the finish line in 52 minutes and 8 seconds.
The event aims to encourage, empower and embrace women of all ages, while promoting the importance of health and fitness.
