The 2019/20 disabled surfing season kicks off for another summer with the first event being held at Bunker Bay on Saturday December 7.
The Disabled Surfers Association is a not-for-profit organisation which provides people with varying disabilities the opportunity to have a safe, happy and dignified surfing experience.
Busselton Water donated money to Disabled Surfers Association South West for the fourth year in a row, which will help fund four events held throughout summer.
Busselton Water managing director Chris Elliott said they were pleased to continue their support for DSA South West.
"These accessible sessions provide opportunities for kids who don't ordinarily have the chance to use a surfboard and experience the waves," he said.
"DSA South West does a fantastic job bringing people together with this event and we're fortunate to have such a passionate group of people at the helm of such a valuable community organisation.
"But, they can't do it alone - they need plenty of volunteers to ensure the surfers are well supported - in the water and on the beach."
Disabled Surfer's Association South West president Ant Purcell said some of the other clubs had to charge money to run the events and was thrilled to receive the donation from Busselton Water.
"We'll be setting up on the beach from 7.30am and the participants start at 9am, the more volunteers that rock up the merrier," he said.
"On Saturday, we'll be having a paddle out for James who was one of our surfers, sadly he passed away last week."
