I was the recipient of a pre-Christmas act of kindness.
I was getting some seafood to give friends of mine at Bethanie a small snack of prawns a treat prior to Christmas.
At this stage I should mention that I am confined to a wheelchair after recovering from one of the new Chronic Inflammatory diseases.
The gentleman ahead of me chatted while his order was filled, greeted me for Christmas and went off.
I moved on to the tellers to find myself behind this same gentleman. His order was checked through the teller while i put my two items on the tellers shelf.
I got my wallet out but the lass at the counter told me that the previous gentleman had paid.
I was astounded that the concept of "Pay it Forward" was alive and well in our community.
I did catch up with the gentleman and said that his gesture was really unnecessary and his response was he wanted to pay it forward..
To that unknown gentleman a very big thank you and i hope that you had a great Christmas and that everything goes well in this New Year of 2020.
Your gesture amid the rush of the Christmas break was received with thanks and I hope that I can pay it forward as well.
