I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing and safe Christmas with family and friends and enjoyed celebrating the beginning of a New Year and a new decade.
I was lucky enough to have time to refresh and recharge my batteries over the festive season and am ready to hit the ground running in 2020.
After a very busy lead up to Christmas last year, I am looking forward to spending more time in the South West in the coming months and visiting schools, businesses and community groups and catching up with constituents.
The South West showed it is full of talented, hardworking and passionate people with many receiving awards throughout 2019 and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate those who were highlighted.
This year will be about laying the foundations for the upcoming 2021 State Election and it will be my priority to ensure I speak to as many of you as I can better understand areas of need throughout the region in order to continue to work to make the South West region an even better place to live, work and recreate.
I have every intention of bringing the same vigour, tenacity and honesty to my role as Member for the South West that I have always aimed to uphold.
We have so much to look forward to this year with flights from Busselton to Melbourne scheduled to begin in March, schools and hospitals across the region will receive upgrades and several major infrastructure projects commencing.
Every day I remind myself of how privileged I am to serve the people of the South West in the Western Australian Parliament, and I promise to continue to work hard and be a strong advocate for the region, putting the interests of the South West and the people I represent first.
