Krikke Motorsport and driver Kerry Madsen came up short in the 14th and final round of the 2019/2020 World Series Sprintcars Championship, at the weekend.

Heading to the Perth Motorplex, Madsen/Krikke were determined to overtake James McFadden in the championship point standings.

Due to the failure of a right-front wheel spindle, Madsen was forced to exit the feature race on lap five.

The result saw McFadden finished first on points (3906), ahead of Madsen (3682), Brooke Tatnell (3092), Jock Goodyear (3025), and Lucas Wolfe (3022).

After winning the WA Title back in December, Madsen/Krikke went frustratingly winless over several weeks.

Between rounds two and 10, the team acquired a long list of minor podium finishes/numerous narrow losses.

Madsen dominated the 11th round at the Esperance Speedway and backed up that form by taking out the 12th round on the team's home turf.

He came under fire from Tatnell in the latter stages in Esperance, and then from McFadden at the Bunbury Speedway.

On both occasions, Madsen kept his nerve and went on to take out a clean sweep of the weekend.

Madsen/Krikke picked up a minor podium finish in this year's Australian 410 Sprintcar Championship, held at Tasmania's Latrobe Speedway.

Hindered by a late race stoppage, he went on to finish third behind winner Jamie Veal and second-placed Marcus Dumesny.

The team would like to thank all the sponsors for their overwhelming support throughout the 2019/20 WWSC season.
