The Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre is getting ready to host two of the world's best classical guitarists, later this month.
Duo Moller-Fraticelli - comprised of award-winning European guitarist Johannes Moller and Argentinian guitarist Laura Fraticelli - will deliver an "unforgettable experience" in Bunbury, at 7.30pm on March 5.
The duo's performances are internationally recognised as a "unique fusion between Swedish perfection and Argentinian passion".
The pair's strong connection and powerful stage presence results in a breath-taking performance of authentic musical expression.
Moller has captivated audiences around the world with his amazing performances.
In 2010, he was awarded first prize in the Guitar Foundation of America's Concert Artist Competition, the most prestigious guitar competition in the world.
He now has a worldwide following, and performs close to 100 concerts per year.
Fraticelli studied in Argentina, before moving to Europe to study at the Royal College of Music in London.
She went on to study at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where she was accepted into the class of renowned artist Zoran Dukic.
She has been praised for her beautiful tone and passionate interpretations.
This Thursday's recital will feature Argentinian tangos, the music of Mertz, and Moller's own compositions, including his 'Chinese Impressions' (as inspired by his travels through China).
Kenneth Keaton, from the American Record Guide, commented on the duo's album, saying that it is "simply the finest Mertz I've ever heard. This is tastefully played, often with heartrending beauty".
Prior to the performance, Moller and Fraticelli will be hosting an open master class where three local guitarists will perform and receive tuition.
Tickets for the show and the master class are still available.
