A 23-year-old man will appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court over an incident at the Bunbury Regional Hospital from earlier this week.
Bunbury Police allege that the man attended the hospital's emergency department with a respiratory condition.
After being admitted for medical treatment, the man was advised he would be required to stay in isolation within his hospital room pending test results.
Around 2.30pm on April 7, the man allegedly became increasingly agitated due to still being in isolation and left his room, approaching the nursing station which was manned by four nurses.
It is further alleged he proceeded to deliberately cough and sneeze repeatedly at the nurses.
The man was charged with four counts of Assault a Person Working in a Hospital.
He appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on April 8, before the charges were remanded to April 9.
