Pathways SouthWest, headspace, and a host of other community organisations are coming together to celebrate Mental Health Week 2020.
Bunbury's Mental Health Week schedule will kick off with an official opening ceremony, led by Mayor Gary Brennan.
Among the week's events, a new garden plot will be commissioned at the Withers Community Garden on October 13.
The community will then gather for the Big Swamp Walk on October 14, hosted by Accordwest, headspace, Relationships Australia, and Foodbank.
Drumming workshops, outdoor games, and a community barbecue will be held at the Big Swamp Playground, on Phillip Drive.
The South West Aboriginal Medical Service is looking forward to its special beach barbecue, held at Koombana Bay on October 15.
This year's schedule will draw to a close with the Bunbury Mental Health Week Ball, at the Quality Lighthouse Hotel, on the 16th.
Madison Harper, headspace Bunbury's community development officer, said they and the other participating groups were committed to supporting the community.
"We've all faced some really challenging times in 2020 - it's really highlighted the importance of taking care of ourselves and those around us," she said.
"It's great to see so many organisations and agencies getting involved in these events.
"We're all working towards the same goal of raising awareness for mental health. We also want to highlight the services available within the community."
Pathways SouthWest chief executive Steve Blackwell would like to thank this year's organising consortium for their outstanding efforts.
"We want to encourage as many members of the community to attend our events as possible to promote mental well-being and connect with service providers before they feel they are in crisis," he said.
Mental Health Week, held from October 10 to 17, will deliver activities and events across Western Australia relating to this year's theme - 'Strengthening Our Community - Live, Learn, Work, Play'.
