The Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association will be sending seven squads to this year's State Regional Country Week Tournament, held from September 28 to October 2.
Junior clubs from Australind, Bunbury Dynamos, Bunbury United, Hay Park, Harvey Hawks, Dalyellup Rangers, Blackwood, and Eaton Dardanup will be taking part.
The squads - ranging from 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s in the boys and 12s, 14s, and 17s in the girls - have trained for the past eight weeks.
Football Federation South West have conducted these sessions and educated the CCJSA coaches that will take these squads.
"I am excited to watch these squads eventually play, they have been putting in hard work at training and we are creating a great team environment," FFSW Regional Development Manager Peter Dohnt said.
"The Country Week squads had over 250 players trial for positions in the squads but we couldn't take them all. It shows how great the programs we run are and how strong soccer/football is in the region.
"The program was started in January with 100 players until COVID-19 struck. We resumed the program in July with over 250 keen players looking to get into Country Week."
More than 120 CCJSA players, coaches, and support staff will travel to Perth for the tournament.
The annual competition brings together regional associations from across the state, including the South-West/Bunbury, Goldfields, Peel, Geraldton, Karratha, Newman, Leeuwin, Esperance, Hedland, and Carnarvon regions.
