Internationally renowned Circa Contemporary Circus will perform its latest show, Wolfgang's Magical Musical Circus, at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on October 12.
To those who know him, he is Wolfgang, the dart-playing, pun-loving ratbag. To those who are watching and listening, he is the wigged genius Mozart.
Mozart appears amid a storm of powder, ready to throw musical madness into a crescendo of dives, swoops and twirls, as a pair of mischievous acrobats and a multi-skilled musician reinvent the composer's manic and magical music.
"This is a production for everyone, touching on the marksmanship of Mozart's mad but magical music," Wolfgang's Magical Musical Circus creator Yaron Lifschitz said.
"It's meant to give you a sense of the power of this incredible music as it's brought to life through circus...but mostly, it's just a lot of fun."
Thanks to education sponsor Scope Business Imaging, over 600 primary school students from across the South-West will get to experience two sold-out school matinees.
"Providing local children the opportunity to be inspired and engaged to learn through creativity is fundamental to BREC's vision," BREC executive director Fiona de Garis said.
"In addition to the dedicated school performances, we also have Circa running workshops during our school holiday Circus Fun Day on October 9."
Tickets for next month's show are now on sale via bunburyentertainment.com and through 1300 661 272.
All performances comply with current government restrictions and social distancing measures, and the safety of patrons, artists, staff and volunteers remains a key priority for BREC.
Wolfgang's Magical Musical Circus is supported by Lotterywest and Scope Business Imaging.
